Migration Tool

Postby teenguyen » Tue Jun 10, 2003 8:43 pm

Hi TrackStudio team!

1. Since you are going to release version 2.7 by mid-end of June, how do we migrate our current track studio database (ver 2.5) to the new version if we plan to use ver 2.7. Is there any tool to do this in TrackStudio?

2. I am new to Java and If I want to customize your application with open source code version, do you think using SunOne Studio 5 CE is good enough to do custom development of TrackStudio (or any other tools you recommend?)

3. Under WEB-INF/classes/gran/model/ directory, there are files with .hbm extension, can you tell me what are these files and their functions?

Thanks

Yes, of course.

I think, yes. We internally use simple text editor for development :-)

Its Hibernate (persistence engine) mapping files, this files describes how Java classes mapped to database tables. Please refer http://hibernate.bluemars.net/1.html for more information.
